How to Make a Two toned Frosting Rose?

Piping roses is easier than you think if you haven't done it yet. And the use of a second hue to build a two-toned look gives a special touch. It's a stunning style that's perfect for weddings, bridal parties, and other ceremonies. These buttercream roses will be gorgeous on a handmade wedding cake, to be sure.

3 Tools you’ll need

Piping Tip: The most important method for making a frosting rose is a piping tip. You may make a rose pattern with either a 1M frosting tip or a 2D frosting tip.

Coloring: Choose any two-toned colors you like for the two-toned look. Use gel colors in frosting since liquid colors will change the texture of the frosting. Keep a few of the frosting white so that the color contrasts with the white.

Use plastic or recycled piping bag for a 12 or 16-inch diameter.

Ingredients

· Gel food coloring

· Heavy cream

· Pure vanilla extract

· Salt

· Sifted confectioners’ sugar

· Sprinkles for garnish

· Unsalted butter softened to room temperature

Instructions:

· In a big mixing cup beat the butter on medium speed for 2 minutes with a hand mixer or stand mixer equipped with a whisk or paddle attachment. With the mixer on low, add the confectioners' sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Increase the tempo to too high and beat for 3 minutes. If the frosting is too thin, add 2-3 more Tablespoons confectioners' sugar, 1tablespoon milk, or a touch of salt if the frosting is too sweet.

· 1/3 of the frosting should be placed in a different tub. Add a few drops of food coloring, depending on how dark you like the paint to be.

· Using a piping bag fitted with a 1M or 2D top, spread the colored frosting along the sides. Fill the middle of the cake with the uncolored vanilla frosting. Squeeze the frosting all the way down to the top of the open end.

· Squeeze a small amount of frosting onto a plate until all the colored and white frosting is mixed together– or try this on a cupcake. The majority of the frosting will be flavored!

· Place the tip right on top of the cupcake's middle. Pipe a tight curve around the cupcake with steady and medium friction. Reduce the amount of stress you're under when you get closer to the finish line. If the end result is sloppy, sprinkle any sprinkles on top. It happens! You'll get used to it by practice.
