How to bake an easy-peasy delicious cake at home during the lock-down!

The lock-down has definitely got us all feeling low and glum. Why won’t it, after all, it has trapped inside our houses, living the same routine every single day. You know how your day looks like; waking up, eating, Netflix (for hours at length), eating again and sleeping. Relatable?

However, here’s a little something you can do to add little sweetness and fun to your day - not only yours, but also your family’s! We’ll teach you how to bake a super easy and delicious chocolate cake at home, with ingredients that you won’t have to run to the shop for!

Here we go the, grab the following ingredients:

100 gm cooking chocolate

100 gm sugar

2 beaten egg

2 teaspoons cocoa powder

2 tablespoon icing sugar

100 gm butter

100 gm all-purpose flour (maida)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 pinch salt

Once you’re done getting all the ingredients in one place, follow the below-mentioned steps:

Grease a silicone microwaveable cake pan with a little oil. Once you’re done with that, place a circle of baking parchment in the bottom.

Add the chocolate, butter and sugar into a glass bowl separately.

Place the glass bowl in the microwave and cook on high power for 30 seconds or until the butter melts completely.

Once a sort of a paste is formed, add all the remaining ingredients and whisk them well. Keep whisking!

Once you’re done and a final batter is made, transfer it from the glass bowl into the cake pan.

Microwave for 5 minutes and allow it to set. Take it out - let it cool.

Powder a little cocoa powder or icing sugar on the top and Voila! Your cake is ready.
